Sabina (Szymanski) Juniewicz
October 12, 1924 - December 11, 2013
Rocky Hill, Connecticut
Sabina (Szymanski) Juniewicz, 89, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Wethersfield, wife of the late Chester Juniewicz, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Apple Rehab, Rocky Hill. Born in Krynica, Poland, October 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Julia (Gola) Szymanski, she came to the United States, and resided in the Hartford area for 40 years. Prior to her retirement, Sabina was employed at the Aetna Insurance Co. for many years. She was a devote Catholic and communicant of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford. Sabina was a diehard fisherman; she would take any opportunity she could to fish, with her usual spots being the Rocky Hill & Wethersfield Coves. When it rained, she would be found outside searching for fresh worms for fish bait. In addition, Sabina loved to play cards and knit. Sabina will be fondly remembered by her loving family, two daughters, Jolanta Kram of Springfield, MA, and Barbara Jankowski, of Rocky Hill; three adored grandchildren, Alicja Dunnells and her husband Ken, of Newington, and Alan Stanek of Newington and Kama Pekala of Krynicia, Poland; as well as her cherished great granddaughter, Alyssa Nadeau. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Sabina’ s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield.
