Elizabeth “Betty” (Yerrington) White, 91, of Norwich and Wakefield, RI, formerly of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Robert L. White, passed away peacefully Monday, June 13, 2011 with her family by her side at South County Hospital, Wakefield, RI. Born December 18, 1919 in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles D. & Harriet P. Yerrington. Betty moved to the Hartford area in the mid 1960s residing most of her life in East Hartford. Prior to her retirement, Betty was employed for many years at United Technologies. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and its Ladies Guild. Betty will be fondly remembered by her loving family; five nephews, Richard, Michael, Kenneth, William, and Andrew White; a niece, Christine MacEachern; two great nephews, David White, and Michael MacEachern; with two great nieces, Katherine, and Elizabeth MacEachern, along with her special friend and caregiver, Karen Simis. “We were blessed to have Betty in our family for as long as we did.” Relatives and friends may call on the family, Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, from 5-7pm. Funeral procession from Farley-Sullivan will be Saturday, June 18, at 9:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Betty’s life at 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 15 Cambridge Dr., East Hartford, CT 06118.
