Born in Hartford, December 20, 1943 in Hartford, one of six children of the late Alfred J. Jr. and Florence (Gordon) Arsenault. Raised in Hartford, Al attended and graduated from the Hartford School System. Prior to his retirement, Alfred was proudly employed by Connecticut Natural Gas for 46 years, making him the longest employee. Al served in the US Army Reserves during the “60”s. Al coached Little League when his boys were growing up. He loved to hunt, spend time at his cottage, attend UCONN football, but mostly of time spent with his family and friends, loved you “G”, meant the most to him. Trips to Virginia to visit his grandchildren and the family trip to his son’s beach house in the Outer Banks were his best memories. His sons were his greatest achievements, his goal was to educate them and watch them succeed, and they have.
His greatest love was the time spent with Rita, his sons and daughters-in-law, but most of all his pride and joy, his five grandchildren. He would brag about them to everyone. Along with his wife Rita, Al will be dearly missed and always remembered in the hearts of his loving family; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kurt Roth Arsenault and Jenifer Rose Arsenault, of Plantsville, Craig Gordon Arsenault and Elise Victoria Arsenault, of Great Falls, VA; his five adored grandchildren, Thor Joseph Arsenault, Nolan Michael Arsenault, Greyson Alfred Arsenault of Plantsville, Laird Gordon Arsenault, and Eva Victoria Arsenault of Great Falls VA.A Memorial Tribute to Al’s Life will be celebrated Saturday, April 12 at 1:00pm followed by calling hours until 4:00pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury.
